Transfer Talk: Manchester United ‘keen’ on bringing in Schweinsteiger

According to retired Norwegian footballer Jan Aage Fkortoft, Manchester United are extremely keen on bringing Bastian Schweinsteiger to Old Trafford this summer. He goes on to say that Bayern Munich and United have already discussed the possible transfer of the 29-year old, and Van Gaal ‘loves him’.

I’m not sure theres a midfielder out there that fits the bill any better than Schweinsteiger. At 29 he’s experienced, and has done it at the highest level for number of years. He can slot right into the team from the off and make an impact on a midfield that has needed work for a number of years. On his day, he’s up there with the worlds best and he has it all. He can break up opposing attacks, run with the ball, and pick out the pass that can unlock an opponents defence.

I’d love Schweinsteiger at United, and if Ed Woodward somehow manages to pull this one off that’d be a great start to the summer. There are some concerns about his fitness though, and thats always been the case. If United can get him and keep him fit, he’d turn out to be a bargain.

Would Schweinsteiger be worth the gamble? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.

  1. He is to old for the heart of the team , we need someone younger for that job, that we can keep for the next 5-6yrs, someone to build the tram around, a ghundogan, or kroos, gaitan, clasie seems to be the onewe will end up with , so maybe a player to teach him the job for a year or two, but not a long term answer
