Manchester United were without the services of Michael Carrick, Phil Jones, Daley Blind and finally Marcos Rojo against Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea this weekend. Those injuries took their toll as United succumbed to a 1-0 defeat.
Next up is Everton, and United have been given somewhat of a boost, as Phil Jones, Daley Blind and Marcos Rojo are all expected to be available for selection once again.
Phil Jones has finally got back to his best in terms of defending in recent weeks, as he and Chris Smalling began to develop an all-English centre-back pairing that could well be the national team back-line in a few years time.
The versatile Blind has found himself playing left-back in recent weeks, as Luke Shaw and Rojo have both been missing. However Blind could well return to the middle of the park this weekend, as Carrick is still expected to be missing.
Rojo has made a great impression amongst the Old Trafford faithful in his debut season, putting in performances full of passion and heart, and he never shirks a tackle or gets nervy in possession.
Having all of these back will be a huge bonus for the Iron Tulip, and it gives him a few selection dilemmas ahead of a potentially key away trip to Goodison.
