United Chief Executive to return home for ‘Urgent transfer business’

Manchester United’s Vice Chairman Woodward has left Australia to attend to ‘urgent transfer business’ according to various sources. Exactly what transfer business is a mystery, but my first guess would be something to do with Wayne Rooney possibly going to Chelsea before the start of the season.

Many United fans (myself included) are becoming increasingly frustrated with the lack of incomings at Old Trafford, and we can only hope that Woodward is flying home to seal a stellar name coming into the club, rather than out.

The journey from Australia to the United Kingdom is by no means a short one, and it can take the best part of 24 hours to travel from one to the other. So i’d expect to hear nothing new until tomorrow.
