Juventus are now in the race to try and re-sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United this summer.
That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, translated by the Manchester Evening News. They say that agent, Mino Raiola, is in England to secure his client a move away from Old Trafford before Thursday’s deadline.
The Turin-based side are trying to re-sign United’s #6 and are willing to use the classy midfielder Miralem Pjanic as a makeweight for any potential move. The problem for the Old Lady? They’re not the only side trying to make a deal happen, with FC Barcelona also keen.
Honestly, Pogba’s time back in Manchester has been disappointing. Big things were expected from the 25-year-old, and although he has delivered on occasion, consistency has left him down. It’s a shame because we’ve all seen just how incredibly brilliant he can be; just look at how good he was during France’s World Cup campaign.
Whether that’s down to Jose Mourinho or Pogba, we don’t really know. We’ve seen glimpses of his capabilities here in the United Kingdom, but that hasn’t been enough. Who knows, this third year could be his best yet, but he’ll have to be at his best if we’re to de-throne City.
