United reserve player leaves Old Trafford

Manchester United and Leeds United have agreed a deal for 21-year old centre-back, Scot Wootton. The defender made his debut for the club last year in the Capital One Cup, and even notched up some minutes in the Premier League before sealing a switch to Leeds.

Born in Birkenhead, Wootton started his career with Tranmere Rovers before moving to Liverpool. He eventually moved to Manchester United as a 16-year old.

Scott has been on various loan spells in the Championship before, but the permanent move will hopefully earn him regular playing time. The fee is currently undisclosed, and Wootton has penned a three-year contract with the Yorkshire side.

Good luck, Scott!
