Manchester United Football Club haven’t had the best of times recently, particularly in the bread and butter of the Premier League. Jose Mourinho’s men dropped more points last time out against Burnley, and now attentions turn to Fenerbahce in the Europa League.
Before that, though, another Manchester United player could be putting pen to paper on a new deal that’ll see him double his weekly wages to £60,000-a-week.
That’s according to the Daily Mail, who reckon Jesse Lingard is close to signing a new four-year contract at the Theatre of Dreams – despite the fact that he isn’t the most popular player amongst the fans at the moment after some below par performances.
The man who graduated through Manchester United’s academy is certainly one of Jose Mourinho’s favourites, as he always seems to get a start in the so-called bigger games.
Personally, I understand why he gets the playing time he does for his defensive duties, but he must improve in that final third if he wants to retain his place.
