Van Gaal deal imminent, claim Dutch FA

This morning we learnt that a deal to make Louis van Gaal Manchester United manager could collapse due to the fact he doesn’t want The Class of ’92 as part of his coaching staff. However, a Dutch FA member has spoken out about the situation.

Kees Jansma, a member of the Dutch FA spoke to Louis van Gaal and said the following:

“He told me nothing is definite yet. However, there is something going on, but he exptects that not untill somewhere this week he can tell more.”

Van Gaal is the overwhelming favourite for the job, despite reports suggesting that United are looking at other candidates. It would be sad to see The Class of ’92 leave Manchester United, but without doubt they’ll be opportunities for them to return in the future when they have more experience under their belt.

The decision must come soon, because Van Gaal is set bring the Holland squad together for a team meeting on the 7th May, and if he wants to focus all his attentions on the World Cup, we should expect some news before then.
