Video: Marcus Rashford scores an absolute screamer for England vs Bulgaria

Manchester United’s front line is going through some serious struggles at the moment.

The pressure is falling solely on Marcus Rashford’s young shoulders due to an injury to Anthony Martial coupled with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s decision to thin out the playing squad over the summer.

With Liverpool visiting Old Trafford this coming weekend, United’s Rashford needed a confidence-booster. Well, he could have just been given the perfect one – as he scored an absolute screamer for his beloved England against Bulgaria this evening…

The 21-year-old started on the left-hand side, before beating his man and cutting in onto his favoured right foot. Then Rashford unleashed a ferocious volley to leave the goalkeeper with no chance.

Actually, this looks very similar to a goal in which he scored against Liverpool in the 2017/18 term – in which Rashford made a certain Trent Alexander-Arnold look rather silly…

Anyway, timing-wise this goal couldn’t have been better. Hopefully, this gives Rashford a real lift and when he returns to United he hits the ground running. He certainly has the ability to be that 20+ goal-a-season forward that we desperately need him to be. What better way to silence the doubters than a match-winning contribution against the league leaders on Sunday?
