Video: Paul Pogba & Bruno Fernandes linking up for the first time

Manchester United Football Club haven’t been in action for three months. Quite frankly, it has been pretty sad without the beautiful game – though, human life is far more important.

Well, the good news is that we’re finally closing in upon a return. In fact, a week from now, we could well be reminiscing on an important victory over Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur from the night before. Here’s hoping, huh?

Anyway, fans have been waiting on in keenness to see the Paul Pogba and Bruno Fernandes partnership in action and during a friendly against West Bromwich Albion, we were given that opportunity…

It’s literally just a six-second clip, but the pair are seemingly already on a similar wavelength as they look to build a partnership that can propel United to a top-four finish.

That pass from the Frenchman is absolutely sublime while it’s great to see a midfielder who’ll actually join in on the attack and get themselves in the penalty box. I guess that’s why Fernandes scores so many goals…

Sure, this isn’t a competitive match situation, but this at least gives both players a chance to understand each other’s strengths and weaknesses before the actual action starts for United this Friday.

For Pogba, it’s not as simple as walking straight back into the team. We have to remember that the trio of Fernandes, Fred and Scott McTominay was looking incredibly strong before lockdown. The Frenchman definitely has some work to do as he looks to reclaim his place first…
