Manchester United Football Club have always been the standout on British shores when it comes to developing young talents.
Under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, that mantra hasn’t changed with the Baby Faced Assassin giving ample youngsters their opportunities.
However, one man who has turned into somewhat a forgotten commodity is Timothy Fosu-Mensah. The Dutchman spent last term on loan at Fulham, though his season was cut short through long-term injury.
The versatile defender suffered knee ligament damage, but today, the 21-year-old took to Twitter to share a video of himself back in training for the first time in six months – as he looks to make a return to the in-game situation sooner rather than later.
Don’t forget that it wasn’t too long ago when Fosu-Mensah was putting in some top-quality performances under Louis van Gaal, and who knows, perhaps he could have something to offer this thin-on-the-ground United squad.
For now, though, it’s down to Fosu-Mensah to put in the work on the training field, build up that strength once again and possibly play a handful of U23s games as he looks to get back up to speed.
Either way, it’s super to see the Dutchman back out there. I bet he’s buzzing and raring to go!
