Watch: Daniel James shows off his incredible speed in Man United training

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first order of business this summer was to sanction a move for the little-known Daniel James.

Signed from Swansea City in a deal starting at £15million, the Baby Faced Assassin is seemingly trying to get Manchester United back to their roots – by believing in youth and giving young up-and-comers a chance.

James is already impressing at Old Trafford. We covered a story from The Sun in which it was claimed the 21-year-old maxed out the bleep tests while topping both the long and short sprint challenges…

Today, we’ve been given another insight as to how incredibly quick James is. The video comes from the official United Twitter account, who caught the winger doing some drills in the middle of a Red Devils training session…

Nowadays, it’s rare treat for United fans to see someone displaying the right attitude. James actually planned his own summer training regime before meeting up with his new teammates – showing just how much he wants to prove his worth to Solskjaer this season.

If he can now take his talent into the game situation, I see no reason why James cannot make an instant impact at the Theatre of Dreams. Even if the 21-year-old is used largely as a substitute during the upcoming campaign, that electric speed could be a huge weapon in the late-game situation.
