Jesse Lingard has had a few years to remember. Under Jose Mourinho, the Englishman has become a mainstay in the starting line-up.
He’s also making an impact for his country, too. Today, during a Three Lions training session, it looks as though Lingard and Liverpool’s Trent Alexander-Arnold had some sort of footballing disagreement.
While it’s fair to say we’ll always side with the United man, Alexander-Arnold certainly made Lingard eat his words with an excellent strike at the crossbar from at least 30 yards away…

Sometimes, you just have to hold your hands up and say well played. This is one of those moments. It was a classy strike from the talented right-back, and the way he did it in such nonchalant manner was extremely impressive.
What’s great about England at the moment is that the squad seems to be enjoying themselves. In years gone by, you got the impression that the Three Lions squads hated meeting up for international duty. It shouldn’t be that way.
The lads are putting rivalry aside while working under Southgate, that’s the correct attitude to have. We all know that when they come back to their club, the friendship is rightfully put on hold as the domestic war starts again…
