Watch: Paul Pogba struggling to walk after twisting ankle during Man United vs Southampton

Manchester United dropped more points this weekend, heading into the international break on a real low-point.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have secured just five points from a possible twelve, with the Reds already looking way off the pace despite it being so early on in the season.

Yesterday’s game against Southampton was more of the same. United enjoyed the majority of the ball, particularly in the last 20 minutes when going up against 10 men – though they didn’t create an awful lot…

That task often falls on Paul Pogba’s shoulders. Personally, I thought he was a little careless when in possession, but perhaps now we know why…

Journalist Simon Peach spotted Pogba in the mixed zone following the game, and as you can see, the United star was limping pretty clearly after twisting his ankle in the game.

We’re yet to hear if this is anything serious or something minor. But, for United, the saving grace is that Pogba is now jetting off for France on international duty so at least he has two weeks to recover.

United’s fixtures following the international break aren’t the kindest. We’ll need our best players if we’re to turn our fortunes around. Hopefully, Pogba is fit and raring to go in a fortnight’s time.
