Paul Pogba has always been an influential figure on social media. It’s a major reason as to why the Frenchman is so successful from a branding standpoint.
However, it could well be the case that his mass-tweeting, and in this case, badly-time Instagram posting, is what has sparked the huge player vs manager row that we have on our hands…
Jose Mourinho apparently called Pogba over in training to discuss the below video which appeared on the midfielder’s Instagram during United’s penalty shootout loss at home to Derby County…
Jose thinks he posted the video after the game.
Jose to John: " When did Paul post the instagram story?"
Pogba: " Do you think I did it on purpose?"
Pogba: "Why would i post it after? Why would i laugh when we lose"pic.twitter.com/C7qeoSeXbb

The 25-year-old was seen laughing and joking as his side were dumped out of the Carabao Cup. It’s worth noting that Pogba also left Old Trafford with time still on the clock – before Marouane Fellaini’s late equaliser.
Honestly, both player and manager are in the wrong. Pogba shouldn’t be posting on Instagram while his team were playing, Mourinho should have ensured he wasn’t getting at the wrong end of the stick.
It’s just a frustrating situation which is made tenser by the fact that it has all been played out in the public eye. I’m not sure where we go from here. Who wins in the Mourinho vs Pogba saga? Right now, for me, both can go as I’ve just had enough.
