Wilfried Zaha nominated for European Golden Boy award

Although Wilfried Zaha hasn’t featured for Manchester United in a competitive fixture this year, the 20-year old has been nominated for one of Europe’s most prestigious individual awards for young players; Tuttosports European Golden Boy award. An award which was won by Real Madrid’s Isco last year.

He’ll go up against some big names for the award as you can see from the five ma shortlist below:

Raphael Varane (Real Madrid)
Philippe Coutinho (Scousers)
Julian Draxler (Schalke 04)
Paul Pogba (Juventus)
Wilfried Zaha (Manchester United)

Although he probably isn’t a major contender for the award that is voted for by sports journalists from all over Europe, its a great reminder and testament to Zaha which shows just how good he is.

The award has been running since 2003, and has been won by current Ballon D’or holder Lionel Messi, as well as Manchester United duo Wayne Rooney and Anderson.
