World class defender won’t be joining Jose Mourinho at Man Utd

Manchester United Football Club will be looking to make a whole host of world class signings this season, as Jose Mourinho looks to mould the squad in his image. That has obviously led to reports about him bringing in former players.

However, one Chelsea star who won’t be joining Manchester United is Kurt Zouma, according to the man himself.

“I do not think he will call me, I think there are other problems to solve, but I am fine at Chelsea.” Zouma is quoted as saying.

The big Frenchman found himself cruelly struck with injury this term, which ended his season far too prematurely. Mourinho is clearly a huge fan of the 21-year-old, but you’d imagine our new manager will be prioritising bringing in proven quality rather than talent.

Centre-back is an area which Manchester United certainly need reinforcements in. However, we already have a vast array of talent including the likes of Phil Jones, Paddy McNair and Tim Fosu-Mensah who are all young. Perhaps an older, wiser head is what is required at this point in time.
