World-class playmaker wants Man United move if he leaves current club: report

Mesut Ozil is eyeing a move to Manchester United in favour of a switch to FC Barcelona, but only if he chooses to leave Arsenal. That’s what the Daily Mail writes.

The world-class German is yet to sign a new deal in North London, and his contract runs down at the end of the season.

Jose Mourinho has previously worked with the 29-year-old at Real Madrid, with Ozil open to a reunion with the self-proclaimed Special One – and what a signing it’d be, particularly if the Red Devils could pull it off on the cheap due to his expiring contract.

Ozil is a footballer that has always divided opinion, but there aren’t many better at carving out opportunities in tight situations. I’d go as far as saying that he has the best vision in the Premier League, but sometimes, he lacks in effort, which is key if you want to play for a team managed by Mourinho.

It’s definitely worth the gamble though, given the lack of creativity within the United squad at the moment. Plus, it’d be funny just to see how Arsenal fans react to losing one of their star men.
