Manchester United Football Club looked horrific during the 2-1 defeat away at Bournemouth, with Louis van Gaal’s side struggling from minute one. However, there was one shining light in the game, and it came from an unfamiliar source – Marouane Fellaini.
The big Belgian was, quite frankly, the only player on the pitch who seemed to care. He was putting himself all over the park, winning plenty of headers and he always looked first to those second balls.
He scored the only United goal of the game, and was at the heart of everything good for the away team. His positioning was excellent, and was always in the right spot, he also led the team with five shots at goal – but the majority of which were blocked by inspired Bournemouth defenders.
It summed Louis van Gaal up when he subbed Fellaini midway through the first half, and honestly it was a real shame, because as previously mentioned, he was the only one who looked bothered about being 2-1 down…
