Another season gets underway on Saturday and before that we’re bringing you a betting tips preview in the hope of winning you some money! United have five trophies available to them and have already won one in the shape of the Community Shield, and our best hope of a major piece of silverware this year will come in the cup competitions.
Betting
Golden boot
Robin van Persie has won the Golden Boot for the last two Premier League seasons, and last years runner-up Luis Suarez banned for the opening five games this looks like an excellent bet if RvP stays fit. You can get best odds of around 3/1 from Sky Bet.
If you fancy a riskier bet, why not go for Wayne Rooney? If he gets his head straight and Robin van Persie picks up a knock, Wayne could begin to fire again. Odds of 16/1 are available from most top bookmakers.
Trophies
As I mentioned earlier I think our best chance could be in one of the domestic cup competitions, Manchester United are joint favourites for the FA cup at odds of 6/1, and the Capital One Cup at a nice 15/2.
This will be David Moyes’ first season in the Champions League, but if you think he’ll make an instant impact you can get odds of 14/1 for a Champions League win.
If you fancy Moyes to struggle in the Champions League, this bet may be the one for you: Manchester United to reach the quarter-final stage @5/2 via bwin.
Another bet I like the look of is Manchester United to finish the Premier League as the top Northwest club, you can get evens on this from PaddyPower.

With all the talk of the new season, the online casino is combining our love of sport with the Game On slot machine. Slots often come in the form of three reels or five, and it can be fun to play slots like Game On if you’re a sports fan because of their individually tailored themes. It can be a good way to satiate your thirst for football before the start of the season. If you’re looking for a game that is more skill based than luck however, it might be a good idea to try your hand at poker or roulette as these games can be manipulated by high quality players.
Good luck if you follow!
