Manchester United’s Europa League campaign gets underway in just under one hours time, with the opening match away at Dutch side Feyenoord. Some big names have understandably been left out of the squad to allow for rest, and we will see a much-changed starting line-up.
In comes the likes of Matteo Darmian, Chris Smalling, Marcos Rojo and Marcus Rashford for their first starts of the season, but Jose obviously has intentions to win this tournament, with the likes of Paul Pogba starting.
This is a game that anything short of three points will be deemed a failure, and if we can go out and win our first three games of this competition, it means Jose can give some youngsters game-time in the last few games. Let’s get progression wrapped up, and then attentions can be focused 100% elsewhere.
Starting XI
De Gea, Darmian, Bailly, Smalling, Rojo, Schneiderlin, Herrera, Mata, Pogba, Martial, Rashford.
Subs: Romero, Fosu-Mensah, Carrick, Fellaini, Memphis, Young, Ibrahimovic
