David de Gea – Didn’t have a save to make throughout until midway through the second half. 6/10
Antonio Valencia – Tank. Bombed forward as per usual but couldn’t really find the right cross into the box. 5/10
Eric Bailly – What a player this lad is. He just didn’t give the WBA attack a sniff, and he wasn’t afraid to bring the ball out from defence either. 7/10
Marcos Rojo – The Argentine has become the leader of the back line, and his passion really shines through. 6/10
Ashley Young – A makeshift left-back. He did okay, but I’m just not sure why Luke Shaw isn’t getting a chance. 5/10
Michael Carrick – Played some wayward passes. Didn’t really control the tempo as usual. 5/10
Marouane Fellaini – The best player on the pitch. The Belgian was absolutely everywhere, won tackles, beat his opponents in the aerial battle and even got the side moving forward. 7/10
Henrikh Mkhitaryan – Struggled. He never really got into the game and you can understand the decision to sub him off. 5/10
Jesse Lingard – Lively. He tried and tried but didn’t really get much help from his teammates. He played pretty well. 6/10
Anthony Martial – Poor. His end product was really lacking, and you can understand why he hasn’t played that much recently. 4/10
Marcus Rashford – Very average, to be honest. He tried and tried but he lost the ball far too easily. 4/10
Subs:
Wayne Rooney – Didn’t really change the game when he came on.
