2016/17 Player Ratings: Manchester United 1-0 Zorya Luhansk

Sergio Romero – Nice to see the Argentine get some minutes on the field. Did alright when called upon, but distribution could be better. 5/10

Timothy Fosu-Mensah – Jose kept the faith with the young man and he did relatively well. 6/10

Chris Smalling – Marshalled the back line well. Nice to see him back at his best. 7/10

Eric Bailly – Rash with his decision-making at times, but on the whole did alright. 5/10

Marcos Rojo – He just looks like an accident waiting to happen. 4/10

Marouane Fellaini – Performed his defensive duties excellently, but the question mark with him going forward remains. 5/10

Paul Pogba – Did well, but you feel like sometimes he is trying too hard. 5/10

Jesse Lingard – Pretty average. Struggled to pick out the right pass at the key moments. 4/10

Juan Mata – Picked the right pases at the right times. Looks a real threat from that number ten role. 6/10

Marcus Rashford – Used his pace excellently. Unlucky not to get himself a goal. 5/10

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Held the ball up nicely, and took his headed goal well. 7/10

Subs:

Wayne Rooney – Played a hand in the goal but I’m not sure he meant it.

Ashley Young – Looked lively.

Anthony Martial – Nice to see him back playing again.
