David de Gea – Made a fatal error that gifted Stoke City an undeserved point. Shame, as he’s been our most consistent player over the last few seasons. 3/10
Antonio Valencia – The Ecuadorian looked pretty good defensively, but was lacking in attack at times. 5/10
Chris Smalling – Solid, and dealt with Wilfried Bony’s height excellently. Didn’t give him a sniff. 6/10
Eric Bailly – This man is having the time of his life at the moment. That continued again today as he didn’t give Stoke’s attack a sniff. 6/10
Daley Blind – So calm and composed, but just not a left-back. That shown as he was unwilling to overlap the winger outside him. 5/10
Ander Herrera – Earned a start from an excellent performance last weekend, but didn’t really back that up today. 5/10
Paul Pogba – Had a couple of huge chances to score but didn’t manage to find the back of the net with either. 5/10
Jesse Lingard – Went missing for large portions of the game and strayed from his position on too many occasions. You feel his spot in the side is in jeopardy. 4/10
Juan Mata – Looked very good in the number ten role and was at the heart of everything creative. 6/10
Marcus Rashford – One of his quieter days, but you always sense he can make something out of nothing. That didn’t happen today. 5/10
Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Had some massive opportunities to score but couldn’t. Held the ball up well, but dropped deep far too often. 5/10
Subs:
Wayne Rooney – Didn’t really do an awful lot but technically he ended the game with an assist to his name.
Anthony Martial – Scored a beauty to put United in front. Looked threatening.
Memphis Depay – Nice to see him get on the field in a league game, but lacked any real cutting edge in the limited minutes he had.
