2016/17 Player Ratings: Zorya Luhansk 0-2 Manchester United

Sergio Romero – Made a couple of really important saves – particularly the one when the score was 0-0. 6/10

Ashley Young – Didn’t do too badly at right-back. Jose loves his work ethic and that was there in abundance this evening. 6/10

Eric Bailly – What a tank, and it felt like he’d never been away. His tough-tackling style of play is something we’ve been missing recently, and it was great to see him playing so well. 7/10

Marcos Rojo – To his credit, he played very well. Jose must be thrilled with his performances of late. 6/10

Daley Blind – Some of his passes are an absolute delight to watch. Did well at left-back. 7/10

Ander Herrera – Lively as per usual. Won the ball back so quickly, but did put in a few rash tackles. 6/10

Paul Pogba – Bossed it. His passing and interplay is a joy to watch, and he grabbed an assist late on. 7/10

Henrikh Mkhitaryan – Scored his first goal, and what a delight it was. What a fine couple of weeks the Armenian has had. 8/10

Wayne Rooney – Average. Drove United forward where possible but didn’t have a massive impact on the game. 5/10

Juan Mata –

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Scored a good goal to kill the game off. Held the ball up nicely in tricky conditions. 7/10

Subs:

Jesse Lingard – Showed some nice touches, but could’ve played in Ibrahimovic a couple of times.

Marouane Fellaini – Brought on to sure up the defence. Did alright.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah – Not enough time to mark.
