2017/17 Player Ratings: Crystal Palace 1-2 Manchester United

David de Gea – Made an outrageous save when United were 1-0 up to deny McCarthur. Couldn’t do anything about the goal. 6/10

Eric Bailly – Started brightly and managed to last until the 50th minute despite injury. Did well. 6/10

Phil Jones – Becoming an absolute colossus at the back, and all credit to him. He’s been outstanding. 7/10

Marcos Rojo – Very lucky to remain on the field in the first half. However, he dealt with Benteke brilliantly. 6/10

Daley Blind – Easy game for him, despite former red Zaha coming into this one bang in form. Job well done at left-back. 6/10

Michael Carrick – Rolls Royce Michael Carrick marches on. He protected the back four wonderfully. 7/10

Ander Herrera – His usual lively self, but had a quiet game in the final third. 5/10

Paul Pogba – Absolutely bossed it in the first-half and more than deserved his goal. Faded in the second but still picked out an out of this world assist. 8/10

Juan Mata – Had a quiet game, but had a goal unfairly ruled out for offside. 4/10

Wayne Rooney – Wasn’t happy as he was subbed off. Had a couple of long range efforts but that’s about it. 6/10

Zlatan Ibrahimovic – Held the ball up brilliantly this evening. Scored an excellent finish in the dying embers to help United secure the win. 7/10

Subs:

Matteo Darmian – Came on for the injured Bailly and did well.

Jesse Lingard – Looked lively and had a couple of snapshots that tested the keeper.

Marcus Rashford – Quiet. Picked up a daft booking.
