Manchester United’s defensive issues have been evident throughout this season’s duration.
It all stems from Jose Mourinho not being delivered a new centre-back over the summer, and that has certainly taken its toll on the Red Devils. They’re shipping goals for fun, they lack leadership and quite frankly, it’s an embarassment.
What comes with bringing in new players, is others will inevitably have to leave. Now, according to Mundo Albiceleste, Marcos Rojo is one United centre-back who is being eyed.
Apparently, Boca Juniors, from his homeland, are keen on acquiring the 28-year-old, although they are exploring other options too…
Rojo is an odd one. When he’s fully fit, I’d argue that he should be starting regularly for this club, but since that ACL injury he suffered in the Europa League back in April 2016, he hasn’t looked like the same player, which is a real shame.
This is a guy who wears his heart on his sleeve, he plays with pride, passion and fire, which very few of this current United squad can actually do. With that said, if the right offer came in, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him move on. Although I’d expect he’ll move somewhere in Europe for one final payday before heading back home.
