3-5-2: Predicted Manchester United XI vs Bayern Munich – Lukaku & Sanchez up top

Manchester United’s final pre-season game of the tour is upon us. Jose Mourinho’s men take on Bayern Munich before the big Premier League kick-off on Friday.

After an excellent performance against Real Madrid last time out, the Red Devils will be looking to build on the confidence levels, and this will be another excellent test against a fantastic team.

There are a few players due to return, too, with Marcus Rashford, Romelu Lukaku and Phil Jones all back in training. At least a couple of those should feature in this one. Check out our predicted XI below…

Predicted Manchester United XI vs Bayern Munich:

David de Gea needs to get those all-important friendly minutes under his belt. He’ll start in this one, with a back three sitting in front of him. At the heart is Eric Bailly. To his left is Phil Jones, with Timothy Fosu-Mensah making up the defence.

At the left-wingback slot is Luke Shaw. With Ashley Young taking part in the World Cup, the former Southampton man has a real chance to make that position his own. Matteo Darmian will play on the right.

Nemanja Matic is out injured, that gives Andreas Pereira a huge chance. The Brazilian will start, with Ander Herrera and new signing Fred also playing.

Alexis Sanchez has been on fire in pre-season, he’ll play. We’ll also see Romelu Lukaku for his first minutes before the big kick-off. Hopefully, he’s in good shape after a stunning month of football over in Russia.
