Manchester United’s attentions once again turn to European football, as Louis van Gaal’s side look to assert their dominance on their continental group. Injuries certainly haven’t helped the Dutchman, and that’ll be no different once again at Old Trafford this Wednesday.
Both Ander Herrera and Phil Jones have been ruled out of the game, meaning that there could be a start for Marcos Rojo despite making an error which led to a Watford penalty at the weekend.
Wayne Rooney is also looking likely to return, but he’ll come back into the #10 role rather than as a striker. This will allow Anthony Martial to start up front, with Memphis Depay switching back to the left-wing.
The midfield duo of Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger looked superb over the weekend, and it’d be foolish to break up that combination for such a crucial game.
