4-2-3-1: Manchester United XI vs Spurs – youngsters at full-backs

Manchester United face another stern test this weekend, with a trip to White Hart Lane in the offing where title chasers Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to dent our Champions League dream. Ahead of the game Louis van Gaal has plenty of selection dilemmas, so we’ve had a look at the best available XI.

We’ve gone for a 4-2-3-1 formation, with David de Gea obviously getting the nod in goal. The back two of Daley Blind and Chris Smalling will remain the same, but the full-back slots have changed, with both Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Guillermo Varela coming into the side.

The holding midfield paring will be Morgan Schneiderlin and Ander Herrera, with a front four that has it all ahead of them. Juan Mata will start as the #10 with Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial either side of him. Marcus Rashford will continue to lead the line.
