4-2-3-1: Manchester United XI vs West Brom – Smalling returns, starlet continues

Manchester United have been on an excellent run of late, securing four wins in a row in superb fashion, and lifting themselves up to level points with Manchester City. Now, Van Gaal will be looking to make it five in a row away at West Brom this coming Sunday.

We’ve taken an early look at the potential line-up for this one, and honestly I cannot see much changing. I’d like to see Chris Smalling brought back into the mix as he and Daley Blind seemed to have formed an excellent centre-back pairing recently, and to put them two back together would certainly sure things up defensively.

Guillermo Varela more than deserves to keep Matteo Darmian out of the team, and the same could be said for Marcos Rojo who is returning to fitness nicely.

The midfield duo of Ander Herrera and Morgan Schneiderlin have been performing very well together over the last few weeks so it’d seem foolish to disrupt that at this moment in time.

Juan Mata played superb against Watford, and it’d be cruel to drop Memphis Depay on recent performances. Anthony Martial is a must in the team, as is Marcus Rashford at this point in time.
