Manchester United Football Club certainly mean business during this transfer window, with Jose Mourinho looking to conclude deals as soon as possible. The self-proclaimed Special One has already signed Eric Bailly, and deals for Ibrahimovic and Mkhitaryan are close.
Today, we’ve drawn up a potential starting line-up for Mourinho for the Premier League opener in August, and already the XI looks massively improved upon.
David de Gea will start in goal, with Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly in front of him. Luke Shaw will return after a huge absence due to his horrific leg break. On the right-hand side of defence we have Timothy Fosu-Mensah.
Morgan Schneiderlin was criminally underused by Louis van Gaal, and hopefully that isn’t the case again this season. He’ll sit in alongside Ander Herrera.
The front four is where things get exciting. Wayne Rooney will start in the #10 slot with Anthony Martial to his left. On the right-hand side we’ll have Armenian international Henrikh Mkhitaryan, and up top, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
