Manchester United Football Club are currently in the middle of a two-week hiatus due to the international break, but Mourinho’s men come back with a bang; The Manchester derby. Ahead of that game, we’ve decided to draw up our strongest possible starting eleven when everyone is fit.
Our new coach made some brilliant transfers during the transfer window, and all four of which more than deserve to start as they strengthen the look of the side considerably.
In goal we have David de Gea, and he’ll have Antonio Valencia and Luke Shaw in front of him in the full-back slots. The centre of defence is best occupied by Eric Bailly and Chris Smalling.
The midfield two of Daley Blind and Paul Pogba certainly makes you salivate at the mouth. Blind’s toughness, positioning and defensive-minded attitude coupled with the marauding Frenchman is exciting.
The front four is where things get really interesting. Wayne Rooney, for all his sins, is probably still our best #10 and he always seems to have an impact on the game. He’ll have Anthony Martial and Henrikh Mkhitaryan either side of him, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic leading the line.
