Manchester United can secure their passage through to the Champions League knockout round with a win on Wednesday, but Louis van Gaal’s task hasn’t been made any easier with more than ten injuries currently haunting the first-team squad.
That said, the Iron Tulip still has plenty of talent to choose from, and the front three looks particularly strong.
Anthony Martial could return and lead the line with Memphis Depay and Jesse Lingard either side of him. Wayne Rooney is also back involved, but in a deeper role due to injuries in midfield.
Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger will continue in the holding role, with the back line somewhat changed due to players being on the treatment table. Matteo Darmian comes back into the side, as does Marcos Rojo despite making that potentially huge error in the dying embers of the game against Watford.
