Manchester United travel to the North of England this weekend, with a game against Sunderland in the offing. Three points are vital here, particularly after dropping two late points away at Chelsea last time out. Louis van Gaal simply has to play his strongest side.
With that in mind, Manchester United might have to play an attacking approach to this one, and the front five look like they’d pose a real threat to most Premier League teams.
Wayne Rooney will lead the line, with Jesse Lingard and Anthony Martial either side of him. Juan Mata will be the furthest forward midfielder, with his Spanish compatriot Ander Herrera just in behind. Michael Carrick will play the holding midfielder role.
The back four have done superb job over the last few games so it would be foolish to change that. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson will play on the left, with Matteo Darmian on the right. The back two of Chris Smalling and Daley Blind will continue.
