The 2014/15 campaign is over, and now begins the time for Louis van Gaal to start his meticulous planning for next term. Obviously big changes are expected in terms of ins and outs at Old Trafford last summer, so we’ve decided to have an early look at a possible line-up.
Now we’ve already signed Memphis Depay, and he should go straight into the starting XI and make up an excellent front three of Wayne Rooney, a revitalised Angel di Maria and the aforementioned Depay – a trio which could cause havoc to any defence.
The midfield is expected to receive some work, with United clearly intent on bringing Ilkay Gundogan in to support Michael Carrick. With Ander Herrera in front of those two it certainly has a great blend of everything you need.
The back five is the most improved area. First and foremost United simply have to keep hold of David de Gea. Luke Shaw is the only player who retains his place in the defence, with Mats Hummels, Nicolas Otamendi and Dani Alves all coming in.
In a best case scenario, this is the XI we could see next season:

This will be great for Man Utd if these transfer targets are perfected. LVG should intensify effort to make sure this great change happens.
if the xl that is preview than that will be fantastic for our darling club.
Forget Hummels, he is staying at Dortmund, replace him with Smalling.I don’t think Luke Shaw is better than Blind at LB. He din’t prove that.
IT SHOULD BE LIKE THIS DEGEA
ALVES SMAALIING OTAMENDI SHAW
DIMARIA HERERA VERATTI DEPAY
ROONEY CARLOS BARCCA
so you’re playing with 12 players every game then?
carlos bacca is still only one player mate no matter how good he was in the europa league final
Memphis——–Rooney————-Mata
——————-Herrera——————-
———–Di Maria—-Gundogan———-
Rojo—-Otamendi—-Laporte—-Carvajal
——————-De Gea——————–
But otamendi or laporta and keep them on the bench. Remember man utd usually fields a few english player not just 2
De gea alves jones smalling shaw carrich gundogen herrera di maria rooney depay
utd are not interested in Gundogan.
This is by far the team that makes the most sence! Start building at the back and silverware wil come. Not splaching money for a forward but wait until the right one comes along.
If I were to pick a realistic and somewhat ideal 15/16-XI for United it would look something like this:
De Gea
Clyne Smalling Otamendi Shaw
Schnederlin Carrick
Depay Herrera Di Maria
Rooney
Blind, Rojo, Jones, Young, Wilson & Januzaj/Pereira is good enough to go into that starting XI aswell, depending on form.. So with those signing mentioned above I think we have a trophy-winning squad on our hands
