Finally, after a two-week hiatus, Manchester United return to action. It has been a long fortnight without the Red Devils and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping to get his boys back on track.
A game against this Watford side is not going to be easy. They’re playing some great stuff at the moment; particularly on the counter-attack. It’s up to the manager to game plan correctly and ensure he gets his tactics spot on.
With an injury-hit squad, Solskjaer’s task is made all-the-harder. However, that doesn’t stop us at having a go at picking the gaffer’s brains.
In goal, David de Gea will get the nod. He’ll have the now customary back two of Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof sitting just in front of him. Ashley Young will start as the right-back, while Luke Shaw will play on the left-hand side of defence.
Nemanja Matic wasn’t great last time out but he’ll be feeling much fitter now. The same can be said for Ander Herrera, while Paul Pogba will be tasked with carving out opportunities and being his usual, brilliant self.
Injuries have decimated Solskjaer’s attacking options. Marcus Rashford should be fit enough to lead the line, while Anthony Martial will also play. Jesse Lingard is back and feeling ready to go. We’re going to need him.
