4-3-3: Predicted Manchester United XI vs City – Herrera & Sanchez start

Manchester United Football Club have been much-improved over the last few games, as Jose Mourinho’s men seemingly have managed to work out a way to get the confidence flowing.

Next up, a game against our noisy neighbours, Manchester City. Pep Guardiola’s men are unbeaten in the league to date, but remember, United pulled off the impossible at The Etihad last season, so don’t bet against a repeat this time around.

Before the big match, let’s take a closer look at the likely starting line-up for the eagerly-anticipated fixture…

Predicted Manchester United XI vs City:

David de Gea will start in goal, and we’ll need the Spaniard to be at his brilliant best if we’re to take all three points away home with us.

Ashley Young has done ok as a make-shift right-back recently, so he’ll play. Luke Shaw has been a Premier League ever-present this term and that will continue. Victor Lindelof and Chris Smalling have formed a solid partnership at the heart of our defence.

I think it’s fair to say that Nemanja Matic has struggled recently, but Mourinho trusts him so he will start. Ander Herrera’s energy will be vital, while Paul Pogba will need to play well from the first minute.

Jesse Lingard will start on the right-hand side as he doesn’t mind tracking back, Anthony Martial will play opposite, with Alexis Sanchez leading the line.
