Manchester United takes on Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow, with a place in the FA Cup final at stake.
Jose Mourinho will have aspirations of going all the way in the oldest trophy in English football, as it represents the Red Devils’ final chance at landing silverware this term.
Obviously, the game isn’t going to be easy, particularly with Spurs playing all their home games at Wembley this term. However, I always fancy our lads to do well, and this presents the team with an excellent opportunity to show the footballing world what they can do. Anyway, let’s get right on to our predicted XI.
David de Gea will start in goal, with Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly in front of him. At this point, that’s comfortably our best back two, but Bailly’s injury woes concern me. Antonio Valencia comes back into the side at right-back, with Ashley Young getting the nod on the left.
Then we have the midfield three. Nemanja Matic should be feeling fresh after his break midweek. Ander Herrera simply has to start after another good performance, with Paul Pogba making up the trio. He’ll need to put in the game of his life at Wembley.
Romelu Lukaku will start. Alexis Sanchez will come back into the team, with Jesse Lingard also getting the nod. Personally, I’d like to see Marcus Rashford play on the left, but I just don’t think he was good enough to displace our new #7…
