AS Monaco midfielder Fabinho wants to join Manchester United this summer. That’s according to The Sun, per the Daily Mail.
The 24-year-old was part of the sensational Monaco side that won Ligue 1 last term, before the vast majority of their stars left for pastures new. Now, the Brazilian wants to head to England.
Fabinho apparently wants to test himself in the Premier League, with the defensive midfielder set to cost the eventual buyer around £55million; which is probably considered excellent value in this day and age.
Old Trafford is the players’ preferred destination according to the report, and no doubt the majority of Red Devils fans (myself included), would welcome him with open arms. He’s a fantastic individual who could well be the final piece in the midfield jigsaw for Jose Mourinho.
Not only that, though, he can also play as a right-back meaning that there’d be extra cover for Antonio Valencia if the man from Ecuador needs a rest or is injured.
This move feels like it’d be perfect for all involved, and honestly, I’d be disappointed if United didn’t go all out to try and get their man this summer.
