7 Man United youngsters involved in first-team training ahead of Omonia game

Man United have given 7 youngsters the opportunity to train with the first-team ahead of the Omonia game.

Manchester United Football Club are progressing nicely under Erik ten Hag, though it’s going to be a long process to get the Red Devils back to where they belong.

The Europa League is hardly ideal. The Thursday-Sunday game scheduling can make it more difficult than you’d like ordinarily. However, it sometimes does have it’s own merits.

More often than not, you’re facing lesser competition in the Europa League, meaning theoretically, there’s more room for manoeuvre in terms of rotation.

Well, it absolutely seems like Ten Hag is keen to try and take advantage of that, with 7 United youngsters apparently in first-team training ahead of the game vs Omonia tomorrow evening.

Charlie McNeill, Joe Hugill, Shola Shoretire, Isak Hansen-Aaroen, Dan Gore, Kobbie Mainoo and Sam Murray were all mixing it up with the senior squad, which is a huge confidence booster for each and every one of these lads.

Check out Rich Fay’s tweet on the information here:

Whether these guys will be in the squad remain to be seen. I suspect we could see one or two amongst the substitutes bench, but Ten Hag will go out there with a line-up that has the capabilities to win this football match.

Simply put, if United drop points here, there’s a very real possibility that the Reds drop out at the group stage.

Couple that with the fact that some squad players need their minutes ahead of youngsters, then I find it tough to positively say we’ll see some of these teenagers in action at Old Trafford in a couple of days’ time.

If I had to choose, Hansen-Aaroen is someone I’m super impressed with. He’d be my outside pick to earn minutes here.

Do you think we will see any of these guys feature for Man United in the Omonia game? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
