A View From The Enemy: Leicester City fan on Mourinho, Maguire & title wins

The new season is here, with that, we thought it was about time we bring back our popular ‘ A View From The Enemy Series’. First up, a home game against Leicester City. It’s a potentially tricky start for the Red Devils, but one we should be confident about.

We spoke to Chris Forryan from the brilliant website, Leicester Till I die, before the clash. Amongst the discussion topics was his thoughts on Jose Mourinho, Harry Maguire and that stunning Premier League title win just a few years ago…

Jordan@ Old Trafford Faithful: First of all, tell me a bit about yourself and the site?

Chris Forryan@LTID: I have been following The Foxes all my life and that’s nearly 60 years. I have been running Leicester till I die for about 10 years now, and it includes a  website facebook page, facebook group and twitter (@leicestertid).

J@OTF: We have to mention it, just how special was the historic title-winning season?

C@LTID: I still have to pinch myself and still smile (as I just did!) when I am asked. Think how you felt when you won your first title after all those years under Sir Alex and times it by 100 and you still wouldn’t be close.

J@OTF: Let’s talk transfers. What do you make of the whole Harry Maguire situation?

C@LTID: I just hope it won’t become another Mahrez. But as the Mahrez sale proved, we don’t need to sell and will only if and when its right for us.

J@OTF: Will Maguire play on Friday night?

C@LTID: For who lol. Yes, he will and in a blue shirt, I think.

J@OTF: Are you pleased with Leicester’s summer? Confident going into the season?

C@LTID: Yes I am Puel has made some shrewd signings. James Madison could be the signing of the window, and getting Jonny Evans for £3m when Man City had a bid of £18m turned down in Jan is an excellent piece of business

J@OTF: Jose Mourinho: thoughts?

C@LTID: Printable ones? You remember that TV show Grumpy Old Men? #nuffsaid

J@OTF: If you could take one player from United, who would it be?

C@LTID: Pogba and play him like France do not like Jose does.

J@OTF: Score prediction for the game?

C@LTID: 1-1

J@OTF: I’ll go for United 2-0, Sanchez to score. Where do you think United will finish this season? Any trophies?

C@LTID: Unfortunately, I can’t see United winning anything and finishing 4th under Jose at the moment.

Cheers Chris, good luck with the season!
