Aaron Wan-Bissaka agrees to five-year Man United deal: report

Thanks to a story we covered from the BBC’s David Ornstein yesterday, we know the transfer fee for Aaron Wan-Bissaka. We also learned he’ll earn around £80,000-a-week at Manchester United, while his medical will take place pretty quickly.

Well, Italian journalist, Fabrizio Romano, has provided us with more information. He took to Twitter yesterday to confirm that Wan-Bissaka will sign a five-year Red Devils deal, and don’t be surprised if the club holds the option for another season – as we’ve seen in contracts like Marcus Rashford’s, David de Gea’s and Paul Pogba’s.

This will tie Wan-Bissaka down until at least 2024, at which point he’ll be 26 and approaching the peak of his powers.

I’m just so excited about this transfer. We’ve needed a high-level right-back for years and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer finally has his man.

Shortly after Romano’s tweet, the lord that is Craig Norwood weighed in on the act and confirmed that Wan-Bissaka’s medical is pencilled in for later today.

Norwood is the official club photographer, and no doubt he’ll be in and around Carrington tomorrow. Hopefully, it’s not too long before we see the typical photo of a new signing holding the Red Devils jersey aloft!

Welcome, Aaron (provided he passes his medical, of course!)
