Aaron Wan-Bissaka was forced out of Man United training, ahead of the game vs Aston Villa on Sunday.
Manchester United Football Club finally feel like they’re heading in the right direction. Erik ten Hag has his side playing some pretty decent football, while Sir Jim Ratcliffe taking charge of footballing operations has undoubtedly helped the mood around the camp.
It’s all these minuscule details that add up, becoming a majorly important reason as to why the club is performing well on the field again. Having no off-field distractions also definitely helps.
This weekend, it’s Aston Villa away. A tricky game, though United have the chance to further show that they’re deservedly being considered as a side who can still finish inside the top four.
One player who is now looking unlikely to make his injury return in that game is Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The gaffer has confirmed that the United star has now ‘dropped out’ of training ahead of the game, while at this moment, we’re unsure of the severity of the issue…
Check out what the gaffer had to say in full here:
“Aaron Wan-Bissaka, today, was training but then he dropped out,” explained Ten Hag, per ManUtd.com. “So I don’t know, in this moment, where he is and what is the diagnosis.”
It did seem as though Wan-Bissaka was just on the way back from the treatment room, so it does hurt to lose him, even if only for a game or two.
’The Spider’ offers something different to Diogo Dalot, while this game against Villa would have been the ideal scenario for Wan-Bissaka to come in and showcase his defensive qualities.
I just hope that the injury isn’t a longer-term one. We’re going to need both Wan-Bissaka and Dalot over the course of the second half of the season. I have absolutely no doubt about that.
Get well soon, Aaron!
