Aaron Wan-Bissaka is seriously considering his future at Man United.
Manchester United Football Club have certainly moved in a different direction under Erik ten Hag, with the Red Devils gaffer certainly improving our fortunes considerably.
Some players have been favoured as a result, whereas others have fallen out of the side.
Take Aaron Wan-Bissaka for example. The Englishman, clearly talented and filled with ability, was a regular starter under the previous regime. Here, under Ten Hag, he’s used as a back-up.
As a result, Football Insider writes that the 25-year-old United star is ‘giving serious thought’ to ‘quitting’ the Reds this summer.
Despite a resurgence by Wan-Bissaka in the wake of the Diogo Dalot injury, United are still exploring the possibility of bringing in another right-back – meaning Wan-Bissaka would be further down the pecking order.
Understandably, ‘The Spider’ isn’t willing to be a back-up option, particularly at this stage in his career where he should be approaching his prime.
It would be a real shame to lose Wan-Bissaka. Someone who has always worn that United shirt with pride, representing the club solidly every single time he has taken to the field. However, there’s still some doubts about the stylistic fit – largely due to his quality when United are in the final third.
If the Old Trafford club can get some sort of decent transfer fee for Wan-Bissaka, it would make massive sense to cash in now. That said, I think I’d genuinely be happy either way, because Wan-Bissaka has been a good servant.
A lot can change between now and the end of the season, so don’t read this as something that’s already guaranteed to happen. An injury here or there could change the circumstances pretty quickly, though right now, it does seem like Wan-Bissaka could be playing his football elsewhere next term.
