Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been named in the latest WhoScored Team of the Week for his performance against Manchester City.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United would win the derby 2-0, in pretty convincing fashion manner, too. Pep Guardiola was once again outwitted by the Baby Faced Assassin.
To a man, the Red Devils were better than their opposite number. From Luke Shaw’s brilliance at left-back, to Bruno Fernandes’ first-minute penalty. United just wanted it more, which was absolutely superb to see.
Sadly, though, only one United star would be named in WhoScored’s latest Team of the Week – and it’s not who you may think; Aaron Wan-Bissaka.
The right-back would score an impressive 7.63 rating on the day, making him the best statistical right-sided defender in the Premier League this weekend.

You look at the way Wan-Bissaka single-handedly takes Raheem Sterling out of any game and you have to be impressed. This is the fourth or fifth derby in a row where Sterling has been completely neutralised by The Spider. Not many players can do that.
Sure, it wasn’t Wan-Bissaka’s most adventurous performance on Sunday but it didn’t have to be as he had Luke Shaw marauding down the other flank. I will say that the ex-Palace man is getting miles better in that regard, though.
At the moment, I’m struggling to find a better full-back combination in the country. How Shaw didn’t score higher than an 8.29 to earn his place in the team I’ll never know, while I can also make a case that Anthony Martial should’ve been included, too.
Either way, massive congratulations go to Wan-Bissaka who was brilliant once again this weekend.
