Links to Aaron Wan-Bissaka are growing in credence. Manchester United are being constantly rumoured with a move to sign the 21-year-old right-back this summer.
The latest in the saga comes from Italy, namely Matteo Pedrosi, who states that United will pay over €50m (£44m) to sign Wan-Bissaka this summer.
Pedrosi states that the talented 21-year-old is ‘ready’ to sign a five-year United deal while the talks between both Crystal Palace and the Red Devils are at the ‘late stage’. Apparently, the move also means that Matteo Darmian will (finally) be allowed to return to Italy…
You definitely get the impression that Wan-Bissaka is likely to be United’s second signing of the summer. Right-back is an area of the field in which the 20-time Premier League champions certainly need help – although when such huge transfer fees are involved, these moves do take time.
Wan-Bissaka, aged just 21, is a huge upgrade on both Ashley Young and the aforementioned Darmian in such a key area of the field – particularly on the defensive side of the ball. The U21 England international has so much potential and room to grow, it’s genuinely scary how good this boy can be.
I just hope that the club get the deal done relatively soon, allowing United to push on with other potential signings before the Reds jet off on pre-season tour next month.
