Aaron Wan-Bissaka reveals his toughest opponent in training is Marcus Rashford

Manchester United Football Club made some brilliant signings over the summer, with the Red Devils spending big on the defence most notably.

Amongst the guys signed was Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The young Englishman headed to Old Trafford on the back of a stunning breakout season for Crystal Palace – and my, he has taken to life in Manchester brilliantly.

I’d go as far as stating that there hasn’t been a better defensive full-back in the country, with Wan-Bissaka putting in three statement performances against a Raheem Sterling who is widely regarded as one of the best in the business.

Well, today, Wan-Bissaka revealed the United star who’s toughest to defend against in training. It comes as no surprise to learn that Marcus Rashford is the man he named…

“I’d say Marcus (Rashford), yeah.” Wan-Bissaka told the official ManUtd.com website. “He’s just so unpredictable. When I first joined United and came up against him in training, he was doing things that I just really didn’t expect. I thought he’d go a certain way and he’d go the other way, or I thought he was about to do one thing and he did another, so he’s really tricky to play against.”

“I enjoy that though; it’s been really good for my own development to test myself against him and the other attackers we have at the club.”

Rashford himself has been sublime this season – before he picked up that back injury. The young forward is already enjoying his best term when it comes to goals scored – and he has to thank Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for that.

The good thing is that these guys will be pushing each other hard in training, meaning both will be taking their games up another level. These are two cornerstone pieces that United can build their team around in the long-term – and it’s super-exciting watching both ply their trade at the highest level.

Hopefully, both continue to develop and grow and when the season eventually resumes, we’ll see Rashford banging in the goals once again as United look to force their way into the Premier League’s top four.
