Man United are set to be without Aaron Wan-Bissaka for their next couple of fixtures…
Manchester United have two more games before the first international break of 2022. It’s imperative that the Old Trafford club go into said break in good form – otherwise, it’s already looking pretty tough for us to make it into the top four.
Brentford and West Ham present two very different, but equally tough tasks. We’ll have to be at our absolute best in both of those fixtures if we’re even thinking about taking maximum points.
Well for those games, one Man United star will ‘not be available’ Rangnick has confirmed. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is still ill, after missing the Aston Villa game at the weekend due to the bug.
When asked directly about Wan-Bissaka, Rangnick responded:
“No, not yet. He’s still ill, I’m afraid.” Rangnick told ManUtd.com.
“He will not be available for the game tomorrow and also probably not available for the West Ham game. Hopefully, after the international break, he will be back for training.”
Wan-Bissaka’s defensive excellence is there for all to see. Each and every single game he’ll make one or two slide tackles that leave us all in amazement.
However, his offensive capacity is seriously lacking – and that’s not going to cut it in a Rangnick team. The fans were starting to notice that recently, too…
I think it’s fair to say that at this point, Diogo Dalot has taken over as the first-choice right-back. He’s far from the finished article as a footballer but as things stand, I think he delivers more of what Rangnick is looking for right now.
That’s not to say Wan-Bissaka cannot come back and force his way back into the side. He’s obviously an immensely talented footballer who is still young enough to improve in that final third.
Get well soon, Aaron!
