Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be allowed to leave Man United this summer

Aaron Wan-Bissaka will not feature in Erik ten Hag’s plans at Man United, with the club set to allow the Englishman to leave.

It goes without saying, they’ll be winners and losers from the Erik ten Hag managerial appointment. The Dutchman plays a style that’s in complete contrast to that of his predecessors, hence, different players will shine.

With Ten Hag already getting to work at Old Trafford, United’s new manager will have identified those players that just will never fit into his style of play.

One of whom, seemingly, is Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The Englishman was a mainstay in the side under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, though the former Crystal Palace man found minutes hard to come by under Ralf Rangnick.

Well, Wan-Bissaka’s fortunes will not turn around under Ten Hag, Sky Sports News’ Dharmesh Sheth reports…

Apparently, United ‘will allow’ the 24-year-old to leave this summer, as he doesn’t feature in Ten Hag’s plans going forward…

United, understandably, would prefer a permanent transfer away for Wan-Bissaka, though they will not rule out a loan – assuming it comes with an obligation to buy.

Time and time again, the Red Devils have given big-money contracts to players that simply don’t deserve them. So I genuinely think it’ll be difficult to tempt any club with serious quality into buying Wan-Bissaka on a permanent deal.

A loan deal, probably back to Crystal Palace, seems like a likely move in our opinion for the 2022/23 season. That doesn’t do United any favours whatsoever, mind, because all it does is diminishes Wan-Bissaka’s transfer value going forward.

Wan-Bissaka is decent. But nothing more than that. Moving him on would indicate that United are seriously in the hunt about bringing in another right-back this summer, because I find it very difficult to believe the Reds will go into the new season with just Diogo Dalot in that position.
