Manchester United sealed a £50million move to sign Aaron Wan-Bissaka over the weekend, as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to further bolster his squad before the 19/20 season begins.
Earlier in the week, we covered a story from Samuel Luckhurst, who claimed that there was a possibility Wan-Bissaka may miss the start of the tour due to his England U21 commitments.
Well today, the Manchester Evening News are stating something different. They reckon than Wan-Bissaka will fly out with the rest of the United squad this coming Sunday (July 7th).
It’s unclear as to whether he’ll begin training straight away, or whether he’ll be eligible to take part in United’s first game against Perth Glory on July 13th.
I stand by the fact that Wan-Bissaka should be given extra time off. I know he’s a new player and the fans want to see him involved out on the training field, but the worst thing that can happen is United rushing him back and the 21-year-old suffering injury.
Getting a good pre-season under your belt is vital, but you also need that time off to rest up and recharge the batteries. Hopefully, he’s given ample time to do exactly that before being thrown into the starting line-up for a friendly game.
